We picked up a used Mori Seiki CV500 a while back and the guy we got it from never kept a backup of anything. Now the PLC battery has run down and the parameters are gone.

The control is an MSC-803. It powers up, but there is nothing in it to run with, so the machine just sits.

Does anyone have a parameter set off a CV500 with the MSC-803 that they would be willing to copy for us? Even clear photos of the parameter pages off a running machine would get us moving, we can type them in by hand.

One other thing while I am at it - is the battery on these a standard cell you can get locally, or does it have to come from the builder?

You’re wasting time hunting for hand-typed parameters. I once had a Haas lose all settings after a battery died, and typing in every parameter by hand took three full days of unbillable work. Cut that approach. What backup steps have you already tried?
